South Umpqua School District has an opening at Tri City Elementary for an Instructional Assistant.

Minimum qualifications: 

Paraprofessionals are required to have at least an associate’s degree or the equivalent of that. (passing scores on approved college placement test) Information about the test can be obtained from the personnel office.

Ability to work independently and follow written and oral directions.  Patience, compassion, and understanding required. Must have the ability to establish respectful relationships with students.

Duties: Work as an instructional assistant under the direction of the title teacher. Assist in supervising students, administering lesson materials, and work one on one with students.        

Assignment is 5.5 hours per day / 5 days per week. 

Salary Range: $14.04-$15.49 depending on experience
