Duties: Performs a variety of foodservice work.  Responsible for food preparation, set-up, serving, and clean-up of a school kitchen, cafeteria, and other food service areas.  Serves meals to students in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness, and hospitality.  Maintains the cleanliness and sanitation of food service areas, utensils, and equipment.

 

Minimum qualifications: 

High school diploma or equivalent.  Knowledge of foodservice and cooking equipment as well as custodial duties. Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision.  Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) and follow written and oral directions.  The ability to work harmoniously with staff and students is a necessity.

 

Good physical health and ability to perform manual labor.  Physically able to perform essential job functions which include lifting 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, and carrying on a regular basis.

 

Assignment is 5.5 hours per day / 5 days per week, 10-month employee.

 

 Salary range DOE- $15.63-$22.51
